Dreamt up by Galliano at the dawn of his Dior reign, it captures the intoxicating mix of sensuality, storytelling and spectacle that defined his couture debut.
Handcrafted by Goossens Paris — the fabled jeweller behind Dior’s most elaborate runway treasures — it’s a shimmering fantasy of silver-plated lace, fine chain links, and cut brilliants that catch the light with every movement. From its ornate frame, deep-green glass teardrops tumble like secrets whispered by its muse, Mata Hari herself.
A twin of this design resides in the V&A’s permanent collection — though theirs is incomplete. This one, however, is the full drama: a complete, couture-born masterpiece.
