Origins Archive: 10 Key Pieces
The following are my ten key pieces for building a super stylish, yet relaxed staple wardrobe you can wear everyday. So you want to be effortlessly stylish, but not look like you’re trying to hard! Well follow these simple steps:
1. DESIGNER BAG
As a handbag specialist it would be an injustice not to start with one of the most important pieces you must invest in for your key wardrobe. If you choose well, it will hold and appreciate its value. Make it classic and most definitely choose black ladies “black is beautiful” in all senses of the word.
2. LEATHER JACKET
When you find the one it will last you a lifetime, treat it mean and it shall get better with age.
3. WHITES
We have an endless supply, but that simple white shirt adds instant effortless chic to any wardrobe all year round. Minimal accessories for optimum impact.
4. LEATHER/SUEDE BOOTS
Our obsession with footwear started in 2016 when I sold my soul to the devil for my first pair of Saint Laurents Wyatt harness boots I’ve never looked back, I now own eight pairs eek.
5. STATEMENT JUMPER
A mohair is a perfect example, go for a bold colour which brings out your eyes / compliments your skin tone.
This will be your new best friend in the winter and on chilly summer evenings, choose a bold jewel colour.
6. BRETON
Definition in the Oxford Dictionary should read,Timeless & French.
However, we do love the myth that Coco Chanel was the First Lady to bring stripes to her collection in 1917. Sadly this is un-true but she did love to wear them on her days off from society.
7. JEANS
When you mate, you mate for life.
8. SILK BLOUSE
Well something that is in endless supply at P.S. They come in thousands of colours and prints, but silk is your friend! Whether you are after a rare vintage archive piece from “Ysl” which we sell, or an eighties power-shoulder number, it’s always an absolute lightweight dream to wear.
9. BELT
A good designer belt can polish off even the simplest of outfits. It can set off those £30 Zara jeans or that £19.99 shirt dress.

I thought that would be enough for you to get your teeth stuck into for now, however if you carefully choose all of the above you will notice they work with one another. If you are new to styling it’s great to experiment and build up your confidence, you will slowly explore with brighter print and colour. Most importantly shop local/sustainable and buy vintage to your hearts content as there are tonnes of it everywhere!!!
