“YVES SAINT LAURENT”

On a recent trip to “Morocco” earlier this year I had the opportunity to tick off a bucket list dream and take a trip to “Marrakesh” to visit the home, gardens and fashion museum in the heart of the city.

The gardens were designed by his life long love and prolific art collector “Pierre Berge”, Between them they both had one of the finest collections of art and antiquities, after Berge’s passing in 2008 the collection would later go on sale at Sotheby’s in 2018.

The museum was one of the most moving & sensational explosions of carefully curated treasure I have ever bestowed my eyes upon. Yves took inspiration from the traditional culture & created dazzling silhouettes, but his formidable use of colour translates throughout his home, You only have to wander through the street of Marrakesh for ten minuets and amongst the hustle and bustle of the street sellers, hang glorious embellished cloths, rich vibrant pigments and highly scented spices to instantly feel inspired.

So Parisian recommends Marrakesh every god damn day of the week! Yves home is a must for any love of architectural beauty, colour & most importantly fashion.
