It is an honour for Parisian Sweet to present this extremely rare John Galliano gown from Dior’s 2008 Resort Collection. Twinned with a gown that hit the runway (Look 60). As described by Vogue, this dress belongs in “a glittery, lamé, paisley and leopard-print world of muumuus, bikinis and Capri pants”. This sounds like a world we want to live in. Crafted from a dazzling silk brocade adorned with florals embellished with silver thread. The boned bodice is peppered in silver sequins, rhinestones and beadwork. The skirt tapers back to the ankle at the hem, the overskirt flares into a peplum at the waistline. The gown is voluminous and comes with an inner lining that begins below the corset and curves by the cut alone. Invisible zipper closure ensures a full illusion of bright silver against a sea of blue silk.
